8-Bit Powers

This is a grid based two-player battle game that you and someone else can play.

Rules/Physics:

8 – Bit Powers Cheat Sheet:

Color does not matter

At the beginning, blocks spawn at a random location in the middle of the map.

All Special Attacks will gain the character +25 HP

Vocab:

HP – Hit Points or Health

XP – Experience

Melee – Short Attack, square next to attacker

Range – Long Attack, can hit more than one square away

Explosion – A 3 x 3 Square Attack

Status Effect – Damages Enemy over time

Swordsman:

  • Can move 2 squares
  • Sword:
    • 15 damage (Melee)
  • Shield:
    • Protects from all damage for one turn except from Explosions, Hazard, and Status Effects
    • You also turn into a block by the enemy can not go through you
    • Use every other turn
  • Rush:
    • 10 damage (Range)
    • The swordsman will move into the enemy to attack them, the blue characters will move back respectively if they overlap each other
  • Special – Ground Slam:
    • In 3 x 3, centered on Swordsman, 20 damage
    • In 5 x 5, centered on Swordsman, 10 damage

Archer:

  • Can move 4 spaces
  • Arrow:
    • 10 damage (Range) + Fire Damage + Poison Damage
    • If arrow passes over a status effect, it gains +5 for every different effect
  • Stab:
    • 10 damage (Melee) + Poison (Status Effect)
    • Poison – Status Effect, for the next three turn, +5 damage
    • (Resets the three turns, does not stack, does not add more damage)
  • Shadow Bomb:
    • 10 damage (Explosion)
    • Turns Archer invisible
    • Can use every other turn
  • Special – Vine Trap:
    • 20 damage each
    • Archer turns invisible
    • Enemy can not move

Fire Wizard:

  • Can move 2 spaces
  • Fireball:
    • 10 damage (Range) + 5 damage (Explosion)
    • When the fireball hits something, it will explode
  • Flame:
    • 10 damage (Range) + Fire (Status Effect)
    • Fire – Status Effect, for the next three turns, 5 damage
    • (Resets the three turns, does not stack, no extra damage)
  • Lava Pool: (Hazard)
    • 10 damage (Range) + Fire (Status Effect)
    • One tile of lava for two turns
    • If Anyone steps into the lava, then damage will occur
    • Only the Fire Wizard who casted it will be immune from his lava
    • You will gain no XP if your own teammate went into said lava
  • Special – Meteor Drop:
    • 10 damage (Explosion) + Fire (Status Effect)
    • Drops a meteor on all the enemy players

Gaining XP:

  • Dealing Damage
  • Damage Taken
  • Round Bonus
  • If shielded, no XP awarded to attacker
